You Are Invited to Come in!!!

So this is our very first blog and we thought it best to capture the very core of what WAOMM is about: Supporting; Encouraging and Empowering you to become all you can in Christ. In this blog, we will also be throwing open some of the questions which have been asked privately but which we would like to hear your views on. Of course, no names or identities will be revealed. It is important for all of our blog users and visitors to note that profanity, defamation or character assassination are not allowed on this blog. Stories and comments should be constructive and seasoned with grace, even when sharing an unpleasant experience. We must all remember that the objective is to support, encourage and empower so comments and responses need to be respectful and polite.

We want you to share your stories with other WAOMMs because you never know how your experience and testimony may help someone else who may be going through what you have been through. It is also true that sharing your burden makes it lighter, so telling your story may help you offload some of the heaviness in your heart. You may remain anonymous if you choose but share your story nevertheless.

A lot of times, as women in music ministry, people see the glamour of standing on a stage, all made up, all dressed up, all glammed up, looking cute; but they don't see the tears, the sweat, the sacrifices and the price paid in secret. They don't see the pain and struggles some of us have been through in our ministries and even in our relationships. Having said that, it's not all doom and gloom, we have all experienced some major breakthroughs and victories at some point or the other. This is an open invitation to share your unique stories, whether good or bad. We hope to learn from one another and grow through our learning.

As a starting point, please tell us the topics you would like to see addressed in this blog e.g. how to identify a potential mentor; how to react when treated badly by other ministers; the secrets of successful music ministers; relationships between music ministers and their local churches etc. No subjects are taboo. The floor is open...please feel free to come in! :)

God bless and keep you till next time!
